I listened to HC long time ago, when the Thunderdome-Compilation was still on. After the last edition (no. 23) I fell into trance, as I lacked of other good compilations (at least in my region). I heard a "Resident E" (Marc Acardipane's label) compilation 2 years or so ago, but it didn't really convince me. A lot of hardstyle, less hardcore, unfortunately. But I liked some tracks and try some tracks once in a time atm.

the traditional happy hardcore was very good, however by 1998 the ideas were being recycled too much & like trance too many pointless vocal songs were about. Newstyle (ophidian etc) is decent now for the odd moment, and the experimental/freeform djs like sharkey, luna-c, energy & robbie long are decent. The rest (raverbaby stuff) can be a tad cheesy but works for some people, so kudos to them

i admit i like it I don't understand why a lot of people dislike it. It might be a little too "rave-ish" but it's still edm. Nice link Dj Alliance, i'm checking these out for sure.

Scott Browns tunes are wicked...voted best DJ in 2004 or was it 2005. Anyway's he also goes under the name of Plus System, he owns Evolutionrecords.net

Plus System - 'This is How We Do It' - i love this track, amazing
Scott Brown - 'Blue Anthem'

Scott also does a lot of Gabber so you might stuble acroos ones like Boom Stick (brilliant gabber track)

USH.NET is also a hardcore community, mostly UK ravers but you get ppl from all round, lists everything you need to know about the scene, from events etc...good forum.

www.scottishhardcore.co.uk for all you need to know whats happening in Scotland.

Imo records is the number one distribution underground company for Hardcore.

You need to listen more of it. Theres a lot fo good up & coming producing releasing quality stuff. I agree that when 98 came round apart from Bang who were great, hardcore got crap untill 2001 when the new trance sound came in, then in 2003 it was rocking. Now a-adays its getting a bit of a cleche with the sounds used, but its still great and the production is second to none.

The guys only 23 i think as well, lol, he started way back in 95 when he released happy hardcore tunes.

'Hold Me Tonight (like an Angel)' is a quality tune, came out in 2003 i think.
