How could I tell whether my satellite speakers could handle this sort of receiver?

click

this sort of receiver has "large banana plugs" for speakers; my speakers use the smaller type of input, but is it possible to just replace the cables? As long as the wattage and ohms matches?

Thanks for the reply; I assumed that if the ohms is fine then they should work. My current speakers are at 8ohms, which is the minimum required for the receiver; so its all good.

Does it matter if the connections on the speakers are different from the ones on the receiver? The ones on the receiver are the large banana plugs; whereas on the satellite speakers its the small connections for the

It doesn't matter what size the connectors are.

no, those type of connections can accept banana plugs OR they *unscrew* and will allow a normal type of speaker wire connection, i.e. bare wires.

"I’m a dance floor favorite? Great! I would say the passion that I feel for the music I buy and the honesty with how I play it. I play the records I love not the ones that simply work. I’ve never taken the easy music option (which would make me a lot more money by the way) but chosen to push people a little. I try to draw people in a new direction slightly and expand their taste a little more than other DJ’s." - Lee Burridge
