why are some foods so overpriced?
i just ordered some jalepeno poppers from allstar wings (best place in the gta for wings) and they are so damn expensive. the average place sells them for about a dollar each! two bites and one is gone!
another item that i find to be *extremely* overpriced are salads. any type of salad. come on, its just fucking lettuce! you can buy a head of lettuce for less than a dollar and make a few salads with it.

salad is expensive 2...buy produce in winter and it aint cheap.
add the money you have to pay le saladier...they know if you want it you will pay.

you dont have to prep a steak....age, cut and thats it.
a restaurant will make more $$$ on salad because it is simply ordered more.Even at steak houses...

im well aware. i spent three years working in the Garde Manger of the MTCC, and 1/2 a year in the Liberty Grand Garde Manger.
hated every minute of it.
