cuabse sx midi set up?

ok ive checked all the previous threads on the jp8000 and read both manuals and done everything asked of me. now my jp8000 works in cubase and records in cubase it also plays back. although the sound doesnt come out when i mix it down.

im thinking that the problem might be my connection so tell me if this is properly set up. im using a usb midi sport to connect my jp8000 to the pc so the midi in and midi out run into the usb, therefore im guessing that the midi in and out of cubase are both set the usb hub. an i right?

then i have the jp8000 sound output running into the microphone jack in the back of my pc this allows the sound to be played out of my speakers. ive tried putting it in the other jack plugs in the pc although no sound is triggered.

can anyone tell me if this set up is right or what im doing wrong?

thanks

What version Cubase are you using? You are using the internal soundcard for your audio in?Have you selected the correct soundcard in Cubases Device Setup menu?

You should really look into getting a soundcard with Audio ins and outs. That microphone jack is not adequate for recording.
