thanks for the working link

while listening....that tambourine feels to high in volume and when you loose at 0.42 it feelt weird...why have it in there from the start?

the bass is EXCELLENT...and that slightly echo-driving female voice is so cool, really worked well how you introduced them both.

when the tambourine was brought back I definatly felt that it is way to high in volume...and why do you loose it and bring it back? feels like its out of place.

again..the female voice thing you got is cool..

1.40 sounds very good, like the little melody..

2.08 not the best sounding dark synth..
2.21 went up and octave, sounded better..maybe reverse them?

do you have a clap on each kick? didnt like that after ahwile, sorry.

again with the female voice..Im so jealous you got that!!

3.03 nicely executed..but the pad seems flat..would like more power to it!

4.05 roll felt out of sync..would also like some addtional percussives here to make it more full.

Did I mention I like the female voice???

Alright barry

Nice bright percs at the start, that arp playing in the background could be a bit stronger.
The bassline is cool, and you have some nice synth sounds playing. Overall I liked it, just think you could fill it up with more sounds.

hey mate, overall its a nice start for a track, everything basic is there, now some energetic synths, and im gonna love this one. its a good buildup and the vocal alike thing fits well, you need to work more on this one, and give it a lot of attention on that energetic buildup imo, go on and start working good luck.

nice percs. clap makes a nice drive.

pc speakers so i dont wanna say too much about overall sound..

mini break- i love this the track has an experimental sound to it.

beat comes back- i wouldnt add much to it. just get the levels so they are eating up as much headroom as poss.

main break- emotional. lush melodies. the old kane i first started to admire is coming out

beat back- not great imo. id go minimal. like near the beginning at the 2;30 mark. with a nice deep bass note. melodys ruin the drive in this one imo.

go percussive in the main sections i think. and save the melodies for the breaks. keep the breaks the same as how they are. use the 2;30 sound as the main part after the break. and then add a breal like the mini one just before the track goes into outro.

my fave of yours. minimal is good!

rich

DylanSwe: thanks for detailed analysis. didnt notice the clap on every bar. it wasnt my intention. i think it might be a delay as i layered 2 claps on one another. on the 2nd and 4th bar. ive got rid of the cymbal.

rickym: the arp is at the highest volume think its just pretty weak. thanks for the input. dont normally compress synths but might have to on this.

bidor: glad you liked it. dont want to over energise the track as i wanted it to stay dark and deep.

richg101: always a good response from you. i wanted to keep the track minimal myself as i tried adding more layers and it just seems too crowded. i think the main melody seems out of place in this. it was intended for an uplifting track but i added it here. not a good decison. cant think of a good melody to use. a few more days at the drawing bored is needed i think.

thanks again everyone!
