i love words like this, and another wierd one:

Namistai, has many meanings -

Namistai / Namaste:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I honor the place in you in which the universe dwells. I honor the place in you which is of love, light, truth, and peace. When you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, we are one.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I bow to the light in you
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Namaste is a sanskrit greeting which says, "I bow to the light in you". We recognize that each of us has a spark of light within that links us to each other and all that is.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I honor the place in you in which the universe dwells. I honor the place in you which is of love, light, truth, and peace. When you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, we are one.

The word "namasté" expresses the highest form of greeting, one that truly honors the "greeted." Used in everyday conversation throughout Nepal and India, it is being heard more often in this country among people who want to more deeply acknowledge each other.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I salute that place in you wherein resides the center of the Universe. I salute that place in you wherein resides truth and love and peace and beauty. I salute that place in you where, when you are in that place in you and I am in that place in me, we are one.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"The God in me honors the God in you"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The word namaste expresses the highest form of greeting, one that truly honors the "greeted." Used in everyday conversation throughout Nepal and India, it is being heard more often in this country among people who want to more deeply acknowledge each other.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In India when you meet and when you leave, the word namaste is used, it is a great word, it means;

I honor the place in you where the entire universe resides; I honor the place in you where lies your love, light, truth, uniqueness, and your peace; I honor the place in you where if you are in that place in you and I am in that place in me, there is only one of us. So...

-namaste-
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Namaste is a salutation of deep respect. Physically it is conveyed with a profound bow, hands palmed in prayer fashion over the heart, reverently expressing, 'I bow to God in you'.

My first post was at one in the morning so i tried to get away with the minimum.
Split the word in to three parts to show how it is pronounced
Hal... just like the name c... say it like you would the actual letter yon... just like over yonder

As far as the meaning of mythical bird, that refers to a sort of Kingfisher in Greek mythology that calmed the water a the time of a winter solstice.
The adjective use (which is the meaning i think trance artists are going for) is a peace or calm as in "the halcyon days when i grew older"
There, that is a little better i think.

ok, before you look at this i feel its necessary to let you know a bit about sanskrit... its phonetically written and theres hella symbold that stand for 5 different types of consonant sounds and a different section for vowels. The different consonant sounds are classified as: throat, middle mouth, top of mouth, teeth, lips.

namaste in sanskrit:

1= Na sound
2= ma sound
3= "s"
4= ta (as in way)

hope you all grew as people as a result of seeing this.

cheers
Marc
