Sound Card trouble?

I just bought an m audio audiophile 2496 sound card and installed it. i have my speakers linked up to my old sound card as theres no jack slot in the audiophile. i have my jp8000 linked up to the audiophile, however there is no sound output from it. its showing that theres input but no output.

is it possible to have two sound cards running at once? or am i doing something else wrong?

Why not disable your old sound card and only run the 2496? The audiophile does I/O, not just in.

there can always be some kind of hardware conflict...IRQ perhaps?

Someone else prolly could elaborate more on this subject but I always been told that this can happen...no-one told me yet how to fix it, when it happens though...

btw I'm also running two soundcards...and it goes just fine
