bass has to little LP on it. percs are a bit weak. distorded piano/pluck sounds to dry, doesen't fit the track well. break happens too sudden. i like the pad. the saw after the break could be good with a proper synth patch. mixdown is poor. needs work.

keep it up.

yo takkra.

nice track! your best yet imo!

your bassline is massive. really driving. minimal percs are just the ticket.

kick - i think its the wrong type imo. not enough punch or presense.

piano- melody is awsome. the rawness of the distorsion works well. dont decreace the distorsion. but lower the entire volume so it sounds the same but quieter.

break. no no no! it sounds like your are trying to keep the cheesy police happy - sorry rico my friend. but its just not right for this massive track.

i think try and go minimal with this one. it aint uplifting trance. its takkra trance

use the parts up to the breakdown and build a track around that. those parts are pure awsome. i love them and would buy a vinyl like that. really driving.

listen to kyle emmerson - starbase01 as an example of where you should go with it

loads of potential mate!

rich

nice lead melody, good driving bass.

poor selection of sounds though. Compression is badly needed too

i think in the beggining u need some other percs to help the groove along...
not like the dist piano at all......not a fans of its melody either.
i like the melody of the saw a lot better...
sorry m8, just not digg'n the piano.
bassline is awsome...minor tweaks, be a killer track!

The high hat comes it too sudden around time :40 - :45 and seems to come in out of beat initially. I ran your MP3 through a compressor and it sounded MUCH MUCH better. I love that synth that comes in around 2:20. Its kind of cliche, but I love it nevertheless. I agree with others about the piano - turn down the distortion.

This is awesome for a first attempt!!! The melody was simple and yet VERY effective to create a mood. The background strings enforces the idea of the piano to a great degree. Good combo! I am impressed...

Hey Takkra,

Nice to hear you being back again. You always have original stuff and your very own style. When I read you were working on upliftting trance I had to smile because I knew you would not be able to just make uplifting trance without making it a bit dirty haha.

I quite like the whole idea you have here. The bassline is wicked and dirty. The broken false piano is downright creative.
It is original and fresh. But main thing when working on a more trancebased song the mixdown , mastering, soundchoice and eq'ing becomes a lot more important then when you do your more techy driven tracks. This track is not properly mixed mate. The kick doesn't help the track a lot either

The leadsound could be a bit more intresting as well, this is just too uninspired And last but not least, this track lacks your normal trademark : exciting percussions.

So just add some more of your ingredients in the percs, pay good attention to the mixdown and perhaps get a less familiar leadsound and I think you really have got an original trancer on your hands.

Cheers!

Cool track. the most has been said m8. This has great potetial if properly mixed and mastered this would defenetly work in a big club. But I dont hear no catch =( so this tune will be forgoten as fast as i delete it from my list, as for the piano is way to dry , some under reverb o good delay would fill the space upp. Keep it up // Mavve

Nice Bass Line, like the main riff, but mate sort it out, it needs to be FATT. if you send me a copy of the track mate (MIDI format) would love to do a remix. Like the piano, just turn it down a bit, and a little bit less distortion.

Any chance of doing a remix on it?
