The Scumfrog and Beatport have teamed up for a songwriting challenge, inviting everyone to come up with additional lyrics and melody for The Scumfrog’s new single “Beat As One”.

The song, which made a huge splash at this year’s Winter Music Conference, was initially selected by Beatport to be the next chapter in their successful Remix Competition, but the Scumfrog suggested to take it a step further by giving people the opportunity to further shape the original song, rather than doing a remix.

An instrumental version of Beat As One and all the specifics about this unique Songwriting Challenge can be downloaded on Beatport for free, while the original club version of the song is now available in the main Beatport catalog.

Meanwhile, the Scumfrog website has just been updated with a brand new Free Download. The song “Secret” is by The Scumfrog and features the vocals of New York’s rising star Sarah Tancer. “Secret” can be downloaded at no cost for a limited time only.
