what kind of monitors are yall using

for your home use what kind of monitors are yall using. i seem to find most home speakers are not very clear speakers when you are trying to keep your beats matched. just looking to see what some of you are using. again this is for home use. i would like to have something that is loud and clear that is inexpensive. thanks

Right now I have my logitech speakers (which also are used as my computer speakers) as my monitors and they work fine....

Im too poor to afford moniters and a PA system for parties so i have a PA system setup in my room. Workes fine for djing. Do a search on the forum and you will find heaps of results.

I use B&W's. They are crisp for in the house.

If you have a bit of cash to splash Id recommend Martin audio Black line F10s. Roughly £500 quid a piece (not including apm)but they are the best monitors ive used in a smaller club enviroment and you would get away with them in the house too I reckon, good for attaching to the roof.

I have a pair of Alesis M1 Actives, theyre great, go really loud. A little bassy perhaps but not so much as to make the sound muddy, tis still clear. They were about £300 for the pair, which isnt too bad considering theyre active so you dont need a seperate amp.

maybe have a look in second hand dealers or ebay..

look for a pair of two way kef, mordaunt short or warfdale speakers from the late 1970's to 80's..

these style speakers are nice and flat sounding and can be bought really cheap. you ll know a good pair.. te surrounds of the drivrs will be rubber- not foam!

you ll end up spending about 20-40 dollars i recon.. then get a amp from the same era... maybe an old technics...?

KRKs are awesome for the price.

i got the RP5 and the thing is just awesome. these things look so small for the sound they deliver. its great for djing and producing.

Do you experience any hiss with yours? I have read that some people had a hissing noise when using them, esp at lower volumes. I have debated whether to go for these or go with the less expensive RP8s, or even the RP6s...I need a good pair of monitors because my PAs suck...
