getting a work visa for strictly work can be tricky. i have always gotten student visas with a clause saying that i can work, but with a limit.
currently i will be going to australia in august, but that visa is coming about thru marriage (and the visa isnt the reason why i am getting married). i looked into getting a work visa at first, but the situation is usually- in order to get a job you have to have a visa and in order to get a visa you have to have a job that will sponser you. it is a catch 22. it seems to be like that for the EU as well.
IT may be easier to get a visa for, b/c of the shortage. but most EU countries (and holland is one of them) give their jobs to EU citizens first (they try very hard to ensure an EU citizen will have that position), then if that job cannot be filled by an EU citizen, then you may have a shot.
good luck, keep searching (it will take time) and you may find something.
