SET INFORMATION
============
Enjoy this high quality set mixed live by |3 |_ @ Z 3 |) (Alias: Blazed) on May 2, 2006.

All tracks are high quality uncompressed WAV remixed in Virtual DJ 3.0 and then converted into mp3 format at 234kpbs Variable Bitrate. After a long break from DJing I have finally had a chance to play around with some new tracks. My daytime job has me travelling the province weekly so I'm hardly ever around to DJ these days. Apart from that I've had continuous problems with my XP10 controllers when using sounds effects. A few sound effects were used but they were only from my Tascam X-9 mixer. This set is more or less of a warmup set but still has some pounding basslines. Overall I wasn't entirely satisfied with the outcome but a new mix was long overdue. A few tracks could have been replaced but this was an unplanned mix and very different from my usual style as I experimented with lots of new Tribal House.

This is my 6th official live remix with full track listings. Expect lots of Tribal House with driving basslines.

Please rate my mix and post feedback if you download this set. Criticism is always appreciated as it will help me for future mixes.

Enjoy ;-)

Track 1 - good mood setter. liked it. very trancey. i would've probably left it on shorter and taken it out with a cut between the 5 and sixth min would've been cool.
Really liked track 2 and I'm buying it and using it soon awesome tribal feel and nice vocal. kinda weird but cool beat.
the change from two to three was good idea but the phrases weren't matched appropiately.
Really liked this next track, very good bass cut and thump. good track choice to follow leeds track.
Enjoyed very much this next track and cut. very good with the high cuts.
Voodoo People - The time - very good tribal electro track.
Very Nice change into this next track, excellent.
Again, excellent change into this simon and shaker track, very good flow these past couple of tribal tracks.
Awesome tech house track, very good cut again.
Worked this next build up very nicely
Very good deep house track, enjoyed this one very much. Great vocal and break.
Very good follow up with the tech house
Nice quick change, liked it. Very nice and mellow track.
not my fav track in the world but i guess it works here. (sweat)
Good cut here, nice tribal beat. Excellent Synth.
Good transition here at the end. Very nice.

I enjoyed the set very much, couple nice tracks i hadn't heard before. Has a lot of unity in style but sometimes too tribal for my personal taste, would've liked to hear more electro or tech rather than so much tribal, but again thats just a matter of personal style, and it definately has some to it with the trancey feels and hypnotic tribal beats. Nice job dude, keep it up.

Vakus,

very much appreciate the effort you spent in thoroughly reviewing this set. You hit everything pretty much spot on. Set started off a little rough for the first two transitions as I was hesistant on the initial transition to track two. Usually though I like long intros if its a good moody track. Tried to loop in the vocals of This High on track 3 but I just did not time it properly. Glad you enjoyed the mixup of those tech-house/deep-house tracks. Thought the listener needed a break from all those drums. As stated I was playing around with alot of new tribal tracks, but your right as far as it being overly crowded with too much tribal. It was fun taking a stab at this genre though as I have been finding myself mixing alot more house than trance these days. I'm curious to know if you enjoyed every track in the set except for Sweat? Also do you ever use your filters and effects on your X-9? I love those filters! ;o)

Thanks again, and I'll be sure to check out your new Progressive & Electro set when I get a chance.

Ciao!

8/10
Nice warmup set. I believe if you were to open as the main event for a club setting it wouldn't work out because this set builds too slow hence my initial statement. Everything is pretty much spot on, but what I liked most about your mixing style is your progression. You do a very good job making sure each track complements each other well. To sum up I enjoyed this set for its flow and the effort you put behind this set. Thanks for the share and try picking things up a little faster next time!

Great feedback stevieboy32808, Thanks! That's exactly my thoughts on this set as well especially after a few listens. This is the type of music I'd love to hear when just walking into a club. Not too thumpin, but not too soft... just a nice warmup feel to it. This set was actually done spontaneously which is why I am quite surprised it managed to flow good. I am working on a couple of new sets which should tickle your fancy when I have a chance to finish them. Alot more darker, harder, faster juicier club beats
