It definately is different, but I honestly like this CD a lot. I'm a die hard PVD fan, so I'd be the first to bash his experimenting with new sounds. But in all honesty, I think he did a great job of trying some new stuf (Time Of Our Lives, Knowledge)f, and then balancing it with some outstanding trance (Crush, Connected, Buenaventura, Nothing But You).
Honestly, this is the CD I was hoping BT's Emotional Technology would be. The lyrics aren't shallow and disjointed like ET's lyrics, and the instrumental track as simply awesome. Overall, maybe not quite as good as his previous albums, but WAY better than the shit other artists have been releasing of late. |
BT went way too experimental with 'ET'...although PvD does some experimenting with this album, it still has an overall "PvD feel" to it...doesn't top 'OTAB' but still a good album. Next thing to anticipate from PvD is 'VDT2'...but who knows how long it'll take for that to come out.
