I suggest the Vestax PCV175 .. it has everything you should need (at this point), 3 channels (3 phono, 5 line), eq's on each channel, kill switches, and a good quality crossfader. And it's very reasonably priced, about $370 US. This will give you nice clean mixes.. but If you want to go alittle crazy, I suggest the KORG KM-2. It does look cheaper, and doesnt feel as nice, but you get an insane Kaoss pad for sampling and fx. I've read alot of very good reviews about this mixer. But, it only has 2 channels.. Depends whaat you want. Quality, Reliability, Versitility = PCV175. Psychotic FX, Looping, Sampling, and messed up mixing = KM-2.

you could call it an effects module.

it does hella lots of things, and is well worth the money. The effects are better than the craptacular ones w/ the DJM-600, simply cuz u can do so much more. But it aint cheap!

But keep in mind, when you get a Kaoss pad alone, or in the Numark series, they are 1st generation.. The pad in the Korg KM-2 is 2nd generation, this means you have 24 seconds sampling time instead of 4 (i think) and 80 fx programs instead of 60 (..dont know for sure). It is an insane fx processor and sampler, adds alot more fun to mixing.
