Angry I moved from upstate NY to NC and IT BLOWS!!!!

I left the army and moved in with my parents while I look for a job in NC and let me tell U that Charlotte has to be the most devoid place in the US of trance, hard house or any type of good music. All thats down here is a bunch of wanna be ginos running around acting like they have money and listening to sad sad Britney Spears and N*SYNC. Anyone out there in trance land knows of any half way decent clubs within a hour of this hole in the ground untill I can get a job back in NY. GOD I HATE THIS PLACE.

Thnx, I dont suggest this place on anyone. So far I have been looked at like a freak and a weirdo because I listen to Trance and Hard House, and I cant stand rap or contry, I am a oddity here I dont even like NASCAR, I think Indy and F-1 and GT league racing are way better, not to mention I like the Euro Rally seen too, none of those are even vaguely popular down here, it is sad that the biggest thing here is a bunch of rednecks driving around in a circle at 195MPH becuase the 2ton beast they drive cant go any faster. Sorry if I offend anyone but watching NASCAR is like watching soft core porn..... boreing and repetitive.

Mythos is your best best in Charlotte. Mostly prog house, but it's a cool club. They've had Sasha, Digweed, Deep Dish, Jimmy Van M, Danny Howells, etc. Carl Cox is next weekend. You won't find any trance. One of the promoters has tried to get Tiesto, but so far it hasn't happened. That's why I drive all over to see wht I want. Armin in DC this weekend

Thnx for the help, I have tried Vertigo and a couple of other local places outside of Charlotte I will try Mythos tonight, maybe I will get something I can dance to in the middle of all the progressive sets............. If anyone knows of any jobs in Toronto or upstate NY for Cell Techs please drop me a line, at [email protected], maybe I can get away from this place and get back to a place where the people have some since.

I feel your pain buddy. I live near Raleigh, but go to school in Wisconsin. If i want to see anything good during the school year, I have to drive to Minneapolis (at least 4 hour drive) or Chicago (at minimum, 3 1/2 hour drive). Every once in a while one of my friends spins at our fraternity's parties. It's the only times I get to hear good music without haulin ass somewhere. ANyone know of any good clubs in Raleigh for when I head home over Spring Break and the summer ?

Dude, at least you gotta be glad you're not in Utah.

In Utah, for example, sexual intercourse between two consenting but unmarried adults is a crime punishable by 6 months in jail and a $1000 fine; it is punishable by law and illegal for teenagers to talk about sex, ask a girl if she is a virgin, and have an erection while in school or at work.
I think an anti-Trance law is on its way

(that is, of course, if someday they learn what "trance" is)

LOL that reminds me of when i was in canada, i was at this RV park, (pretty big) and i was walking out towards this lake, and at the gate theres a load of blokes in the back of a pickup truck drinking beer, and listening to Craig David, and one of em said "yeah i really dig his beats" i almost burst out laughing, i just was laughing to myself all the way to the lake, im laughing now just remembering it. I mean like in the films e.t.c ppl mainly listen to the kinda (well cant think of the genre) but yknow what i mean, not craig david. I should of let em play my Tiesto CD, would of taught em a thing or 2

I've got friends who live in Rochester and you know how they resolve the lack of a scene down there.......they come up to T.O. That's what you should do...or you could move up here.
