Evil1 [House] Cat In A Can - A Dirty Shame (Full 192)

Yes, I've finally lost it. I have never been involved with anything like this and I probably never will be again. Maybe.

Kier sent me this track that had some pretty kickass melodies, so naturally I had to rip the entire thing to shreds and make my own interpretation of it (sorry Kier!). So it became a pretty simple, melodic, summery house track... I think...

Cat In A Can - A Dirty Shame (6:00, 192kbps, 8.25MB)

I'm sorry.

i like it, i like that pad, even if it sounds a bit like the one in holden's remix of pistolwhip, has a good groove to it, nice bassline. i know you were set out to do a housey track but it still has that trancy outset, but it works. good track

Well naturally, I don't really know anything about house

I like it somewhat. The percs in the beginning sort of kicks my vibe. I don't like the lead that kicks in, neither do I like the bassline. It's trance, not house ;P

Yes, you mixed Trance and House, but Trance House, or Housey Trance isn't just as simple as putting Trance and House together. With that being said, kinda good job.

The only problem with the lead and bassline really is the presentation of them, I think. Ah well, so there you have it. Maybe the bass is to thin too.

Also, in the breaks were a kid talks, you should clear up the vocal imo. You can't really make out what he says. But the vocals really adds to the special feeling this track provides.

I really have no idea what you just said there.

I'm just saying that it's a House beat with Trance synthwork. But imo Housey Trance etc is more than that. It's more a House track with a Trancey feeling, or the reverse.

Anyways, doesn't really matter.

Why do ejay users always have really funny names for their tracks? Or X Ejay users?
Cat in a can?
I really like the tune, but would like the baseline to stick out a little more!
Apart from that is nice loud clear and pretty funky, nice 80’s sound to it.
Nice tune

This is more trance than house imo.
But it's good.

Very nice drums, sounds so clear and welldone.

Most housy part is the vocal's break, the vocal adds very much to the housey feel.

Cool with the merge of styles here.
Good work!

Nice tune

I haven't used ejay in 7 years so I wouldn't know... but I think it came from the fact that Mart has a similar project that's called Pocket Rocket and I just felt like one-upping him

Over seven years eh, well I haven’t used it for about that long too.
I just wanted to make my own music and I was sick of all the calling for your love remixes in the charts.
And also the emails from people saying I had no talent and to get some real software and make my own music.
So I did and I’m still making the same music and I still haven’t got any talent, but I keep going and keep trying.
I just do this for a hobby and if some label likes a tune fair enough! Anyway I noticed that you’re still making some decent music and I still miss some of the old school that first joined all those years ago.

Hey,
Yay, this is so happy, lol ... The gated synth sounds pretty fine, cool melodie, the build up and overall sound it is too predicible though, strings are kinda Cheese and kinda without any intention, they are abit to filler imo.
The drums are great, I am really enjoying the sound of them, the programing and the mixdown over them, I feel the open hat is too prominent for my taste, I would put down a bit the volume on it, but that's only my personal taste .
In overall, sounds fine,a bit too happy and chesse for me (Strings), but a very solid production, above all mixdown, keep it up .
Kopi =o.
