when I saw PVD in November of last year it was one of the most fun shows I've ever been to. Matthias opened, and from the music standpoint I liked him better than PVD. He was awesome. And then, PVD was good (but not great in my opinion, because I'm more of a house/tech kinda guy and Digweed is my GOD). But it was just a really FUN party. Everyone was dancing, nobody was standing around, just a really great party atomsphere. The music wasn't my favorite, granted, but it was an opportunity to just not give a shit about anything, dance, have a great time with a bunch of people who loved electronic music.
And it didn't hurt either that the person who helped me up off the ground when I fell over dancing (I was EXTREMELY drunk that night, I think because I slipped on ice or something, was a very friendly lady around 6' 2" tall and sexy as hell.
All in all, this falls I think on the last weekend I'll be in town before going off to school, and I'm looking forward to it as a great last party in the city.
BTW, I'm going to Stanford next semester, just found out that I was accepted. So now I need to start scouting San Francisco for all my nightlife needs. Ruby Skye is the only name that comes to mind off the top of my head. And I can never keep straight if Spundae is a club there or just the name of the promoter that does stuff all over the country. Ugh. Shouldn't be too hard to figure out, and I'm looking forward to going over there. Wish me luck.

Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in this ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities, the political, the religious, the educational authorities who attempted to comfort us by giving us order, rules, regulations, informing, forming in our minds their view of reality.
