Ever thought about finding your own tunes? Go explore music dude, head to a record shop, browse beatport- just take some initiative! I guarantee it will sound better in the end. Us feeding you tunes for you to buy or dl isn't doing you any good- especially since you are learning to DJ.

Then whose is it? I mean we all get lazy every once and a while but som emembers post wayyyy too many of these sorts of threads. Take my thread about Peak Hour Minimal for example. I asked for reccomendations, but I also tried to start a bit of a discussion too- This thread doesn't allow for any meaningful insight at all- It's almost ignorant.

I just hope he one day realizes why a lot of us spend hours and hours finding great tunes, and that it's more than just which song sounds similarish to this sort of song etc etc...

Wow...

I am sitting here at work with no sound on this computer. And that is for the next 8 hours. And to be very honest I dont get a lot of time at home to do the same. So for me, I basically rely on forums and sets that I listen to while Im at work. When listening to a set I will search for it online while here at work and try and get a tracklisting. Sure there are nights like last night where I had an hour to myself and I spent it online listening to tunes.

Its fine, if you dont wanna help me out a little by posting a like track for these 2 then dont. Im not pointing a gun to your head. But I dont think Im being unreasonable here by asking for some suggestions.

By the way, it is funny how you make an excuse for the same type of thread you posted. Please, do a search on me and my topics. I hardly ever make a thread like this.

Ok, when you put it like that it's a little different. These posts of mine aren't necessarily directed at you, but the general community who do have the time and are just too lazy to make an effort to find new stuff. Also, I wasn't trying to make an excuse, I was using mine as an example of how I think these sorts of threads should be made. Personally, I am very picky about starting threads and rarely do because of this.

If you talked about the sound, gave some insight into the elements you liked, a bit of history about how you got into it, or something, I don't know. I suppose it felt a little like you were attempting to "use" the other forum members to do your work- I know it obviously isn't that cut and dry, it just kind of rubbed me the wrong way. I know you have good intentions and I now understand you are very limited in the time you can spend on finding tunes.

Carry on.

Absolutely not. I listen to music every chance I get. And would MUCH rather find these tracks on my own which the majority of them, I do. But to cut back on time it helps to know specific labels and artists sometimes so I can just cut right through the crap that a lot of the sites have on them.

I'm looking for Deep Progressive House. Some techish elements. Very driving dirty basslines.
