Just started playing through this to see what kind of differences/enhancements they made to one of my favorite games of all time, and I've been blown away by how much better I think it is than the original release. They've really done a great job with the dialog so far, and beyond that, everything does genuinely look better.

One question though, anyone know of a list of the differences between this and the original release? I'd just like to know what all the enhancements/changes are...

one thing i notice is that the active battle thing doesn't quite work so well. i'd have like rydia and rosa have three turns before kain even gets a shot to do anything. and this is while his AB bar is full, while rydia's and rosa's are still filling up. i'm up to the lunar subterraneum. still waiting to try all the unlockable stuff.

on a somewhat related note, final fantasy VI advance to be released in 2006 some time!

yup... the atb is a shambles in this remake, it's awful.

but the bonus dungeons with all the new items are pretty nice

next to mystic quest, this was my least favorite FF game. you lose money when you run away? come on now

in the japanese FFIV, there was a porno mag in a secret area. i don't think there's one in the GBA version. i'd call this more of a FFII US remake than anything.

can't wait for FFVI to come out again though
