Just wanted to get general feedback on how long one should expect a mixer to last.

If your mixer is now spent, please state the model and how long you had it for!

you have a DJX700 dont you?

i have one too - it's 4 months old - no problems yet

a friend of mine has one too, his is two years old, and one channel is kaput, and his crossfader is tempermental sometimes.

I have a used Numark DXM06, that was apparently spent before I got it. I've had it for about 4 months now and no problems. I love it!

3 years so far, about a thousand shows, over 100 djs and many close calls

still performing to the standard of a club mixer

the only problem is the booth knob is worn so it makes some noise in the monitor when you turn it too fast

and the effector knob has gone missing again

next purchase: djm-800 or xone 92 rotary

A long time if you get a top end mixer. My two mixers.

Urei 1620 from 1984 that’s 22 years, all original parts, only new knob caps and face plate, no problems, not even a crackly pot.

Bozak from 78, still going strong, I had 2 very slightly worn pots that i replaced. New knobs caps and face plate.

These are two examples of mixers known for their durability. Any high end mixer should last you a long time. That’s part of what you're paying for.

Had my DJX-700 since the start of 2004.

Use it every day, have brought it to a number of small venue's, still working 90% (some idiot blew a channel one afternoon by being a retard).

Ive had my PCV-275 for nearly 3.5 years now and it still works fine, one of the channel faders does need replacing, but thats not a major problem, considering the abuse its taken.

Its done numerous parties and even had superglue spilt in it at one point (dont ask ), absolute trojan!

What do peoplen think of the denon dnx 500-900 mixers.
Im thinking of buying one of these with rotarty knobs.
If i can though im going for an xone62. These are reliable as they are good quality?

im looking to buy a DN-X500 19" mixer. I think the mixer is great! Denons are well built. A friend of mine has a DN-X100 and it absolutrly rocks, kicks DJM-300's ass. The EQ knobs are smooth, right-sized for rapid kills. Faders are top-notch, smooth like butter, VCA nah nah nah...

rane empath for over 3 years....still works good as new, with the possible exception that the eq knobs are a little looser now.

had a numark dm1001x for a year prior that had some minor channel bleeding and a x-fader that crackled.

i've seen pioneer mixers (300/500/600 series) in all states that still work decently well....not amazing to start with but they definitely retain their use after a long while. i'd imagine the a&h mixers will hold their worth as well.
