[Tech-Trance] Ben Lime & Xander James - Dragon Sauce - 192kbps In Progress

I've been working on this track with a friend of mine for about a week now, and before moving on with it, I thought it'd be nice to get some feedback. It's done in FL Studio with various soft synths, and the lead is from an Access Virus C.

Although this is the first track that I've really felt ok sharing on TA, please don't hesitate to criticize!

Thanks for your time!

Ben Lime & Xander James as LXJ - Dragon Sauce

(it's a working title, the first thing that came to mind when I hit Save, haha )

It's not a dragon it's a train...

No seriously, I'll try reviewing it as I listen... (A first off for me)

Nice drums at beginning. Bassline a bit blury for my taste. coming up at break. Nice transition, waiting.... OK, cheeeezzzy . a bit overdone maybe... , second break now, bring drum variations up a bit, can hardly hear them. Nice long DJ friendly regression...loose the gun at the end.

I'll give it a 6-7/10. Needs some editing but then again it's a beta.

Keep on working it 'til perfection

Your friendly ghost of Mozart

I'm actually not happy with the bass either. Unfortunately, my production partner seems to really like it. I'm going to try to come up with something better and sneak it in, haha

The kick variation in the second break can definately be better... I like the idea of it, but need to spend more time getting something that fits right.

I want to add a mid-bass and some neat-o FX, and maybe another 'lead' or something on top, but I'm not quite sure if this one is worth more of my time (hence the feedback request).

The gun at the end was a joke... my friend put it in there, without me knowing, and I spit water all over the floor laughing when I first heard it... it was too funny (to us) to take out until it's done. It gets goofy working on music till all hours on a weekend The junk at the end snuck it's way in somehow, I'll cut it when I get home from work.

Thanks for the feedback! 6/10 though? I think you are too generous

those cut up sfx u got going on in the begginning way too loud.
nice little fx com'n in...sounding a little dry at this point. like'n ur kick
don't really like that gong thingy....cool bassline just came in. very nice
stabs are a great addition....really dry though...NICE CYMBALS
really helped the track pick up.
maybe added a slight reverb on the master would help things.
break is cool, little empty and again really dry.
sustain is really cool here
sounds like u rushed the kick in after the break...
u lose a lot of the kick behind that bassline to, though has potential to sound really cool.
really cool track though

What do you mean when you say it sounds really 'dry'?
