Well this happens at work to me all the time, even after I reformat which leads me to believe that it's likely attatched to something on one of the backup CDs I've made.

What happens is that certain windows randomly close. I'll open Minesweeper and it will exit immediately, same goes with right clicking for properties on the task bar and certain other random programs. The main reason this is an issue is because the scanning software I open through photoshop appears for a second and then disappears. It takes expert timing to get it working properly and there must be an easier way.

Can someone point me to a fix for this? I searched yahoo but found nothing.
