I think getright (the download manager) has a built in internet conection thingy, which does reconnect if a conection gets lost.

There is a way of doing this in windows, but i cant remember how, ill try to have a play with my settings and if it works ill let you know

What operating system do you use? Try this little program:

basically just redials whenever there's no connection until you disable to the program.

Doesn't work on win2k though () or XP (as far as I know).

edit: and isn't your lines that disconnect you? do you have the one where if someone calls you then it disconnects

I understand how you feel...
I remember spending 3 hours browsing the net trying to find a good program to do that...but no results....
