Exclamation WEMF Article

Hey guys. I am going to be writing an advanced article (and possibly a review article) for my local newspaper, regarding WEMF. Basically, I am going to try and state why an event such as WEMF is an amazing economical boost for a small community, such as Barry's Bay (town with a population of 1200, about 2 hours from Tweed).

I have to make the pitch to my editor in the next day or 2, and I really want him to approve this. The problem is that nobody here is into this scene at all. In fact, most of them have only listened to country music all their lives. I have always wanted to somehow introduce EDM to the community, and now is my chance (I hope).

I would love to hear any advice from TAs (on interview questions, any story ideas, suggestions, etc.) so that I can make this a really good article that many people will read. And I am looking for some good names of people I should interview (who are involved with WEMF). I also have to attempt to talk with the locals without getting shot lol.

Thanks

*muah!~*

one thing i have noticed with trance music more then with any other kind of music is that it brings more diversity in the kind of people who listen to it, for example rockers listen to metalica, hip hopers like 50 cent and so on, but with this music C.E.O's, plumbers, electrains, cops, white collar or blue collar it doesn’t make a difference some of the most interesting people listen to this trance shit so hollaa back

lol...being a rocker or a hip hopper is not exactly a job/profession..you can't compare them that way..
but i agree with the point you were are trying to make.. the tranceaddict community seems a lot more diverse than most people would think

your article should emphasize what it will bring to the community. It should also emphasize tolerence that is greatly lacking in our country and will probably result in no more WEMFs. You should also use other countries as an example. Most countries in europe welcome these events. Residents love the fact that everyone has a good time and will even put up with the noise for a night. Especially when given the opportunity to charge for parking. Sadly the bylaw people here would have a cow if they saw people parking on someone's front lawn.

All i was trying to say was that compared to people that listen to other types of music aren’t as diverse, as what they do for a living and how they dress and their age and so on. Trance brings many different kinds of people in the same group together just because they like trance. not the typical stereotype or profiling

Example alot of hip-hopers r ghetto thug sand their are white people trying to be thugs that like to walk their pitbulls. wear baggy pants and hats side ways and talk like a thug.

Rockers like to have long hair which in the real world doesn’t cut it as looking the succsselful man should look. They wear tight pants with holes or old school sun glass's and so on.

i cant really express i mean 100% i way i should must be all the E i took holaaaaa

The way people perceive you is all they can judge you on that and the way you talk. the way you look, act ,talk

bootom line trance people have a better sense of style, arnt ghetto and some ofthe girls r sweet hola back
