After administering last year's voting for TOTY I have been asked once again to undertake the laborious task of overseeing this year's competition.

Starting June the 1st I will commence the 1st half nomination thread which will run for 30 days. So start loading your WinAmp, MusicMatch, I-Tunes, or whatever the hell you use to play music and start searching for the tunes you wish to nominate. Again, each person will be allowed to nominate their top 10 tracks from January-June of 2006 with the top 16 from this time period advancing to the January 2007 polling.

Time sure does fly quick!

Yikes, it's already about that time. I haven't even heard too much out there that has really BLOWN me away either, so this should be tough.

There have been a couple of great releases, but I feel the same way you do. Nothing has really knocked me off my feet either. I'll probably nominate The Wings (G&D Organized Nature Mix) as my top choice.

No worries. We are actually going to run a 3 week nomination period just like last year.

It's set to start June 10th and end July 1st.
