Superclub Space has ditched Sasha and Steve Lawler, and instead invited German electro house promoters Monza to host the Ibizan club every Thursday.
The news won’t come as a shock to the British house duo as their Viva joint residency was one of the island’s surprise flops last year. With numbers low, the pair were forced to close one of the main rooms.
Monza in association with DJmag’s label of 2005 Get Physical, will take over the mammoth venue every Thursday with a killer line-up of techno and electro house DJs including label heavyweights Booka Shade, M.A.N.D.Y. and DJ T, as well as techno heroes Ricardo Villalobos, Damian Lazarus, Loco Dice, and Patrick Chardonnet.
Get Physical’s M.A.N.D.Y. and Booka Shade are headlining the opening party of Monza on Thursday 22 June, and their weekly residency runs untill 28th September.
"Electro House" (not quite )
That is one killer techno lineup however. Damian Lazarus would have to be the best DJ i have seen in the last 12 months or so.
Considering how badly the night did i'm not surprised (and considering all the stories i have heard about Sasha & Lawler fighting all the time).
