hmmm, I guess I'll quote my scribe Stefan Petrucha
| quote: | I have nightmares I don't remember.
At least I think I must be having nightmares I can't remember. I wake up screaming. Then again, I don't remember screaming. I do remember hearing a scream. I also remember my throat feeling parched and my voice hoarse. I assume it must be me screaming. I am willing to admit that this conclusion may be completely false: the hoarseness and the screaming may not be connected.
This however, leads me to the even more disturbing prospect that someone else is screaming, either with or without my throat, and that i'm coming down with a cold. Of course, since the hoarseness vanishes inside an hour I have no real reason to believe that I have a cold. On the other hand, I could be dreaming. Both the memory of the scream and the soreness of my throat could be false, but where does that leave me? Dreaming, I suppose. I mean in the end, what have we got? A scream, a sore throat and darkness? Hardly enough for a conviction. Not in this town. There's something going on here and I don't know what it is, do I? |
