uploading a DJ set under 100mb?

This is a message for the kind TAs who upload DJ sets in the Download thread (and the househead and breaks thread)...

If you have a file under 100mb, I strongly recommend www.zshare.net I get 300k speed from them and there is no countdown. The only drawback is that you have to zip or rar files before you upload them, otherwise the site will act like putfile.com and actually play them in Windows Media Player.

At least with megaupload i can upload a 250MB file and be sure it will be there forever, this site only allows a 100 which sucks for livesets.

sorry buddy but i still prefer sendspace and / or megaupload.

with sendspace if u get the timer all u need to do is just right click ... save as the link and ur download begins. not a major issue there. with megaupload if speed is your concern that much then look at it this way. before the people started posting sets how much downloading were you doing or how many of your fav sets you got?
so with that in mind slow speed > no speed

Good point... I will edit my post to mention the 100mb limit.

Nevertheless, for smaller livesets the speed and ease are unmatched by any other website.

First of all, thanks so much for uploading ASOTs, you rock.

Yeah, you make a lot of good points. I think my main concern is speed. If somebody says, "Hey, I got a Steve Angello set from Colourfest!" I get really, really happy when I can download it in 2 minutes.

i completely understand your point as well. i myself am same way. if i see a MIKE set somewhere that is only like a week old or a PvD set from last month i get ants in my pants to get it ASAP lolz but you know with free hosting sites we cant do much. hopefully sometime soon i will be or we will be able to have a second option. but yea for sets under 100MB sure if speed is fast go for it but mind you ... as the traffic grows on those servers ... speeds will decrease
