First of all I have to say that I wasnīt a friend of that housemusic - scene with all the covers of old tracks from the 70s and commercial soundings. But when I listend to a compilation of Hernan Cattaneo I found some interesting house tracks which I liked. I think the style is called deephouse. Iīm looking for tracks with tribal sounds (love percussion) or with jazz influence with the sound of sax for example.
To name some tracks I like:
Tiger Corps - Cultural Assertion
Dousk - Florence
Green Thumb Versus JV - Grand Theft
and some more I donīt know the titles..
Hope you can help me out with some good references
Thanks in advance

Don't think hernan plays much Deep House. He plays Progressive House most of the time if I'm not mistaken.

Hernan plays quite a bit of electro at times, but the majority of what he plays is pretty deep.
Ever tried Danny Tenaglia? Both of his GUs are deep with tons of percussion. Steve Lawler was playing deep house for a couple of years ago (check his Dark Drums album) though I'm not sure what he plays nowadays.

seems like only three people in this thread know what deep house is.
