Stanton C304 Tabletop CD Player Thoughts?

I've been looking at CD decks to buy, I was wandering if anyone here uses Stanton C304 Tabletop CD Player's and what are they like?

Pic & info here --> http://www.storedj.com.au/products/product.php?id=573

Not knowing anything about the stanton player, i'd still reccomend the cdj-200. http://www.dmcrecords.com.au/article.asp?type=3&id=598

Both are the same price, and i think many others will back me up when i vouch for the awesomeness of the 200.

one thing i can surely say: the C.304 looks and feels awesome! much sexier than cdj1000.
but as you all know the C.304 has an 0.1 pitch accuracy (which isn't that good) and the scratch function is worse than the on the cdj1000.
but overall not a bad player i think. can't be compared to cdj200 since cdj200 doesnt have vinyl mode, and C.304 doesnt play mp3s. i think more of cdj1000 vs C.304

I know pioneer is overpriced. But with the cdj1000 at close to 2000 AUD and this at under 700. I find it hard to believe the two can be compared. The cmx-3000 has a vinyl mode and anyone who's used it will testify to how bad it is.

Then again it could be an absolute bargain. The same websitse has the Stanton STR8150 for $689 and the technics SL1210M5G for $1149. The arguably better deck is significantly cheaper.

The stanton cd player has inbuilt effects, hot cues, vinyl mode and an onboard sampler.

Take the risk with the stanton, or get less features, but garunteed quality and reliabity with the pioneer.

i owned a stanton c304 but however fun the cd player was to use, i found myself rarely using its functions. .1 pitch accuracy isn't the greatest thing in the world and when scratching the first kick beat of the song the sample would drift. However i found this to be true with a cdj-800 i was using. For the price i couldn't complain as it read all the cds i gave and it looks like an expensive piece of equipment; not to mention that the effects sound really good and the sampler and hot cues work really well. Honestly, I would pick this over the other vinyl emulating tables in its price range namely the denon dn-s1000 and the cdj-800mk1

I actually went to Guitar Center in Orange CT yesterday and tried out the c304. I have to say, with all the features and the attractive price, its very nice. For some reason I feel that even though the scratch algorithms are not as accurate sounding as the CDJ's it does sounds really well and I really like the feel of the wheel compared to the CDJ-1000. To be honest after using it in the store with a couple of sample loops and seeing what it can do, i am now pressured with 2 choices, CDJ200 or C304. I have used both, seen their features, now i have to make a decision.

50 boston post road, orange, CT. I live in Shelton, CT and I work in Stamford CT. (rent is so cheap in shelton). Its about 15 mins from my house.

The DJ section is not at large as I wanted it to be, however alot of the equipment is hooked up and its a great environment to "try before you buy".

I think your much better off with a CDJ 200 vs. a C304. I mean they are the same price, so why not go for something better, with more accurate pitch (0.02) resolution and just an overall better player that will last longer and you will ultimately be more happy with. If you really want vinyl emulation, just save up for the CDJ 800s...but you really don't need that unless your planning to scratch or are coming from vinyl...but the CDJ 200 is really all you need to mix...

my mate has a pair of C.304, although ive never used them i know he has had nothin but problems with them. he is on his second pair dude to a fault in the players where after mixing for over an hour or so the players wuld overheat or sumthin to that effect and refuse to work. like i said he is now on his second pair of these and one of them has developed the same problem. happened in the middle of a gig on saturday. the cd started skipping and then just refuses to play. its very odd and hopefully an isolated problem in them, as in theory they shuld be extremly good cd players.

on the otherhand they are just tryin to be cdj1000 with there size and alternatives in this pricerange are the denon dns1000 which has vinyl mode and mp3 support, they are alot smaller in size and also the pioneer cdj200 which everyone else has said. they are solid players with very good pitch resolution and again are small and compact.

my vote wuld be for the cdj200 and i am currently saving up for sum as i dont need vinyl mode, i was gonna get sum cdj800 but wots the point of payin for vinyl mode if im not gonna use it?
