hey guys

im having a little problem with FL6 and my JP-8080 and i was wondering if anyone has had this problem or can help me out!

I am trying to get my roland jp8080 synth to record sounds in fl6 studio. I have an m-audio audiophille firewire soundcard
and midi controller.
I play some notes on the midi controller, and add them to the piano roll, fruity plays the jp's sound, I then place the piano roll pattern into my track and play the track in fruity.
the melody plays in the track, however there is no signal at all being registered by the fx mixer in fruity from the jp,
I turn off all sounds except for the "midi out" (jp is connect to this) and play the track again, I hear the melody that is playing in fruity,
but there is no signal going into the fx mixer, even in the master channel???????

so there is no way i can record the midi patten with no signal!!!!
i am assuming that the way to record the mid pattern is similar to how it was done in fl5, except that in fl6 we now have a disk icon for each channel instead of it being placed on the bottom right side of the mixer
also we need to know how to record the jp's arp in fruity, as our experience with this so far has been that when the arp is turned on fruity doesnt play the arp sound, and when we hit the preview button on the jp the arp sound can be heard, so its not that the arp is broken, its that we havent configured it correctly with fruity.
