Aki A. - Tribute To Gatecrasher (2.5h old melodic trance, pure vinyl mix!)
Woke up early, browsed couple boxes of records, drank too much coke and were way too happy and overenergetic, and here's the result. Technique isn't the best (again )since I basically danced and jumped during the whole set This isn't the kind of trance that I play today (or maybe the first 30-40 minutes), but its nice to remember the good old days of cheesy trance sometimes ^__^ Other thing that I'm quite satisfied with is the fact that this is 100% vinyl mix, I use to buy lots of digital tunes nowdays as any other jock, and feel kinda sorry that the good old vinyl is dying in trance/progressive scene bit by bit.
But anyway, enjoy, and leave a comment if you want to share some memories or anything

Absolutely loved this mix Aki This is a wonderful selection of tunes some from the Gatecrasher era, some well-known and others not so. I was jumping around for ages to this one!
Mixing is pretty good on the whole and my only criticism is why did you put "Sagitaire - Shout" on this mix!!! I mean that tune wears the royal crown to cheese and most certainly would have never made it into a pumping set at Gatecrasher. Also it's a fairly modern classic and I feel you made the same mistake like your Lonely Traveller Mix where you put UB Devoid on it so i don't believe it goes. I hope you take my comments on board.
Please, please do some more classic mixes as you're really very good at them but selecting vinyl for a particular year - eg a 2.5hr trance classic mix for the year 97, 98, 99 etc with tunes from those years - now that really would be something special

thanks for the feedback mates, im not that plased with the result now when i'm listened it couple of times, the energy kinda flats after neo tokyo, and some transitions are _really_ fucked up but the tunes are nice'n cheesy, more feedback appriciated
Actually this set is really quite good. Its nice to see a classics set with only a few well known classics. There were a few familar tracks on there, but a lot I'd never heard before.
Would be good for a lot of people on here to listen to this so they can find out that theres more to 'classics' than Gouryella, Three Drives, Delerium etc.
