Why do so many people seem to have such a hard time spelling the word "definitely"?

Most common mistake I think is definately, but I've seen things like defenately or even defantly...

Pay attention to it and you'll be having a good laugh from time to time

yeah i also have trouble spelling that word. the reason is unknown.

I think I've read once, that one of the most likely reasons is that people don't pronounce it properly anymore...

You have to break the word down to understand it, all you people who spell bad.

'Finite' is the base.

Tack on the suffix and prefix and there you have it.

People also have no clue what P.S. (post script) means and write P.S.S. instead of P.P.S. all too often.
