Review: Guv/Skybar June 24 2006 (Oliver, Tall Paul, Manzone/Strong, Coleman)
Well since I am home early tonight, I thought id start the thread!!
Got to The Drink at around 12 or so after a birthday party boat cruise I went on which was fantastic.. made my way up to the skybar... where Joe Manzone was on the decks... awesome job brother.. Happy Birthday!!.. there were sooo many birthdays ie.. Julia, Chris, and Mr. Manzone himself.. Happy Birthday to all!!
I didnt see many Tas tho..?.. just Chinamon good to see u rocking it out on the stage brother!! ...lol.. where was everyone??
I managed to take a bunch of photos.. and on my way out I decided to go downstairs to check a bit of Tall Paul (but considering Ive seen him before I knew Id expect good and I hoped better from him since last year.. and boy for the few tracks that I heard him play he blew me away) great fk#@n job!!
I managed to get one vid of Mr. Tall Paul at his best...I hope you guys enjoy it!!! So who else went???

Just got in from the night... Some serious tunes dropped by Tall Paul - he kept me bumpin' for sure! Overall though, the vibe was muuuuch unlike Lawler a couple weekends ago. A more sinister vibe all around; couple fights, lots of trainwrecks passed out behind the speakers... Had a grea t time, but really felt the seedyness tonight =\

However, there is also a chance that you will be re-directed to a horrid vision that will claw away what remains of your dwindling childhood innocence. Are you willing to take that risk? I thought so... I thought so.

Fucking Great night!!!
Tall Paul was excellent...
Mark was HIGHLY DESTRUCTIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ridiculous set from Mr. Oliver...first time in a LONG time that I have danced that hard for that long.
mark must've played a pretty short opening set because i saw him hanging out on skybar fairly early. i would've loved to check out mark's set but dealing with the crowd and lineups to get back up to the drink was not part of my agenda.

Mark's opener was PURE Electro infused filth..Soo many new tracks,,,and you're right it was shorter than usual since i didn't even get to see him in the booth!!

awesome pics shaya thanks
even though most of the night for me is a blur i've had lots of fun at the skybar/guv. Music was sick from what i remember, especially joe's set (manzone), he played some dirty beats
