2 reasons ....... Why the Scotland shirt. apart from being scottish. And the photo's are all in the centre of nuremberg not at the game. about 70,000 English fans were here
1. No matter which country you live in from the UK the Germans class them all as 1 when it comes to football. when It's Uefa cup - Champions league or even the world cup they tar us all with the same brush - give any person from the UK a slagging when a team is knocked out. Ive listened to them do it for 9 years as I am living in Nuremberg.
2. The day of the England game I had a normal T-Shirt on when I went to the city centre at 8am. The BBC had pulled in and shouted can we have all the English fans over here as we go live in 10 mins". I shouted " and what about Scotland". A BBC radio reporter soon had a Microphone over to me . I soon got thinking , hey this is the world cup , Get home and show this lot your scottish man. And It's the clossest you will be to as many English fans again as there is not a hope of us getting to play in Wembley. Or England for that matter!!!
The day was fantastic. 2 radio interviews , once or twice on TV and I got totally hammered by 3am.
I do hope England go further than Germany BUT I hope Holland go all whe way. I even bought a Holland Cap and new Holland shirt. If Holland finnish Second in the group they will be here in Nuremberg.
I go to the USA v Ghana game on Thursday.
