remove marcel woods and the award for most uninspiring lineup goes to this

Surprised about the lack of talk about these awards, was it not promoted enough? I found the U.S talking about the free stream they got of it but no UK krew mentioning it.

Anyway the night wasnt too bad but got abit too electro techy for my liking towards the end ( last 2-3hrs), Jules, Marcel Woods, Eteson I would say played well, with wood's set getting abit stale at the end.Judges set was just on fire, Eteson warmed everyone up pretty well as the start.

Here's what I think most of the awards were:


PVD Best DJ 2005?
AVB Best resident DJ 2005?
Trance.NU Best website 2005
Marcel Woods Best producer 2005
Global Gathering Best Dance Event 2005

Armin made an appearance on the big screen in a recording saying thanks to all his fans for the award and sorry he couldnt make it , but said he'd be back to Air soon.

PVD had someone pickup the award for him.

The fact is nobody really gives a shit. It's just a waste of time if we're honest, award type things always are. They're never indicative of the true feelings of people & usually really stupid nominations get in, making it look wrong. It's more of an american thing to have awards for everything & anybody who has a clue doesn't care about them, it's just a load of nonsense.

Yea suppose it is abit of a joke, but its a shame : / lol.

Actually, I didn't follow the awards so much either, just found out about the free podcast the night Sander spun in LA so had to mention it. The truth is that if the DJ's aren't in someone's "top 100" list though, they probably won't be flown around the world and we'd never hear them. It's the only hope for the States finally coming around to electronic dance music...guess I must be an eternal optimist!
