What music category????

How r yas guys?

The kinda music I enjoy the most are tracks in this style :

Examples :

Mark Thornton -Inner peace
Sarah mclachlan - World on fire (XL mix I think)
Perasma Nikola -Swing To Harmony

What category do these kinda tracks fit into? They aint dance, they aint trance, slow trance?

I see some charts would list these kinda tracks in the Buzz chart.

The last 2 songs arent great examples, they dont have to be vocal tracks. Most these tunes are like 130 bpm.

And to make this post worth while

What are you fav tracks in this style, we will call it slow chilled trance untill someone tells me different?

Few more examples :

Tilt - The world doesnt know (ozgur mix)
Kyau Vs Albert - Kiksu (Original Mix)
Chicane - Far from the maddening crowds
Sied van Riel - Fearless (Original Mix)
Deep Skies feat Cass Fox - Little Bird
On The Run - Tillmann Uhrmacher
Andain - Beautiful Things
Deepsky Feat Jes Brieden - Ghost

Thanks

It's just trance. No need to make a separate subgenre for every difference in sound.

Edit:
...except most of the examples you posted don't even sound like each other...

more or less the tracks u like are under the categories of progressive house (light moody house with trance influences at about 130bpm) and progressive trance (light trance similar to prog house but with more trancier influences 130and upbpm)thats the general catageries but really almost all tracks fit in different catageries.

world on fire (Junkie XL remix) mint

Some of those are epic, like On The Run, Kiksu, Inner Peace.

Little Bird, Beautiful Things, Ghost, World On Fire (JXL Remix), Swing To Harmony, would be along thes lines of mainstream progressive vocal house.

Fearless, I dunno, I haven't heard it but from his style on his remixes of "Along Overmind" it probably would be progressive house or progressive trance. The same goes from "The World Doesn't Know", i'm well aware of this tune.

Chicane's "Far From The Maddening Crowds" is quite unique, i'de say a mixture of ambient, ibizean chill music, ambient-breakbeat and progressive trance.

These are dance, except for the more ambient stuff on Chicane's CD. Most of the ones you've listed have been on ASOT over the past few months to few years, and Tiesto has played them as well. So they are pretty much "pop" EDM as AlliedNations noted. But you wont find them on MTV or on pop stations in the US, not quite DJ Sammy, Ian van Dahl, Lasgo stuff as far as airplay goes.

Actually this stuff is pretty mainstream, so it's pretty much pop. I wouldn't be surprised to see some of those that you listed (if they aren't or haven't been already) on Ultra Records compilations, and all those "Ultra: Dance", "Ultra: Trance", "Trance Hits!" "The Best Dance Anthems Ever!" or "Addicted To Trance" or "Club Hits!" compilations. I hate having to sort through all that garbage to find some of the better ones out there...

Man they arent meant to sound like each other, they are all roughly the same bpm though.

I find these kinda tracks relaxing, like the kinda stuff I would listen to while out driving at night.

Any other suggestions of tracks ?

Listen to ASOT or buy Armin's ASOT 2006 or Tiesto's ISOS 5, they should have the style your looking for. There's way too many to name. Go on Beatport or AudioJelly and browse around their trance or progressive section and preview various tracks. You can also browse the CD/New Releases section of this site, as well as the DJ Promotion area and download people's sets, i'm sure you'd find some stuff you will like.
