i've heard that its tricky to move a pithc control and remember where u had it.
can i recommend spinning the spindle nose (that piece of metal that u put the record on).. i have no idea what that things called, but u don't touch the record, so it doesn't jump the needle (if the records warped say), and u don't have that much torque w/ it so u don't wind up making the whipping sound that bad.

well yeah i mean obviously im not touching the actual record when im adjusting, i touch the label or the platter 
but im just curious if 'riding the pitch' will significantly wear out the pitch faster than normal wear?
