2 Midi Controllers

Hi everyone,
is it possible to use 2 midi controllers on one pc?

I was using one edirol midi keyboard on my old pc and a M audio triggerfinger on my laptop, now i decided to make one pc for music and connect these two together. Im still waiting for the pc, thats why im asking if its possible to do this.

I would be very thankfull for any information about this.

Thank you in advance,
Akazi.

I have a trigger finger and an 02 and I used them both on my laptop at the same time. It really depends which software you are using. It works fine for Reason and fruity loops, but I could see other software having a problem running both at the same time and you may just have to manually select which one you want to use.

yup, thats it, i installed them both, and when i use them in cubase or ableton i have to select wich one i want to use, thats pretty sad but still better than nothing.

btw, is the search function working or no? cus i was searching for latency issues with cubase topic (wich i remember seeing) and i couldnt find anything.

latency can be adjusted by reducing the buffer size in your DAW interface driver. For example in MOTU or RME, there's a control panel-like app, where you can specify buffer size 64, 96, 128, or 256. The smaller the buffer, the better is the latency but also you might experience clicks and poping, depending on your hardware, drivers, and cpu. I'm getting 1.6ms latency on my Motu 828 mk2 and 2.1 on RME Multiface. pretty sweet.
