Ken Lay--dead as a doornail.

I guess in the end he got the easy way out...Supposedly he had a massive heart-attack in his family home in Aspen, CO. Never served a day of his jail sentence. Somehow I think this will be bittersweet for many.

But for the tin-foilers, I guess this throws water on the leftist idea that Dubya would grant him a pardon on his way out. Ain't that right, Opus?

I call bullshit. Just like Milosevic. It's just too convenient that he should die now.

Actually, I shouldn't be so quick to judge. He was under alot of stress, and that could have killed him. Either way, it's very convenient. I'm pissed off.

The Houston Radio stations are calling BS as well. They are reporting that he might have faked his death. I wonder.....

Hmmm, didn't know I ever advocated the thought of a pardon.

But that's so incredibly irrelevant it's not even worth mentioning. Wanna know why?

cause that old corrupt bastard is still ALIVE!!!

Oh, it gets even better.

You see, the folks who've kept Cheney alive all these years, the folks who've installed all that mechanical hubub in his body, well, they've been working on Kenny Boy for the past year 'cause they knew his heart was gonna go.

Oh, I'm so not kidding. I'm gonna find the goods on this piece. As soon as I put it all together, it's gonna be one big explosive expose.

You just wait, brother.

Damn hat's hard to take off. Think that sucker was on waaay too tight lately. So how was your 4th?

Nah, not you (yet). I heard the idea tossed around plenty on Air 'Merica, though.

Can't complain. Took Monday off, played golf with the old man, then we ran the Peacthree Road Race together on the 4th (hot as hell). Fireworks were a rainout, though. Not a big deal though b/c I was so damn tired from the race. Yourself?

Ahh, forgot to get back to ya. Went down to Wichita to see the folks and brother's motley family. Shot off some fireworks, had a coupla nephews burn themselves, but all fingers and toes were still accounted for. Overall a very nice little get-together. Now I gotta go play with rats for a research credit hour over the next month. Yippie........
