Danny Howells KILLED IT!
Wasn't sure how it would be but after good reviews in LA we were anxious to hear him live...crowd was a little small when we got there but filled up nicely during the night....had an amazing time and stayed till the lights came on!
Full review pics etc later....3hrs sleep at the office and must go home soon and pack to leave for the city for day 3 with armin

damn talk about an all around entertainer! the constant exchanges of funny expressions, gestures, dance moves, music and mixing... all i can say is: brilliant performance! howells was not only connecting with the crowd the entire time, he was in the middle of it. the whole time shakin and movin, bouncing, twisting and sliding back and forth banging records on his head, chatting/joking around with people throughout his set, just constantly involved with the crowd. his first track was this chugging prog track then without wasting time the dropped a sick tribal drum track for number 2 and from then on it was just wide-scale ownage for 3 hours. i caught the last 45 min of dj bali's opening set and it was an excellent lead in for howells. very similar style of rolling basslines as howells, but at a slower pace. the dance floor filled up very quickly from when i got there at 11:15 (very thin crowd) to when i headed back in from the lobby at 11:30 (comfortably filled crowd).

I was ready to go to sleep at 1:30, was just not feeling the music ... boring ..., plus got harrassed by guys - one in particular that I needed to escape from , finally succeeded thanks to a nice guy close by.
But then I stayed more towards the back of the floor close to the sofas. There I noticed people that were actually more interested in dancing than mating Also I got more into the music, and at the end had a blast! There was this sort of circle thing going on with everyone showing off their moves (wonder if any of you were a part f this, would be great to know if so).
Anyways, had a great night and feet hurt accordingly!
