I need:

proper credit will be given
if you ABSOLUTELY need webspace, you can pm me, but I prefer that you try out the free services first.

He either forgot the word "prefer" or is in the middle of reading Shakespeare & can't switch between the two.
You'll need the raw video straight from the minDV tape for DVD quality stuff, no point in messing around with other peoples compressed footage. Plus being american you'll probably work in NTSC and will need to convert everything to PAL for Germany.

well recording anything in a minidv tape is already compressed using a dv codec. While transferring to computer, you are just basically copying the files from the tape onto the computer.
That's the file I need

well, there are many other projects besides actual broadcast of the video on tv. I can create something for the web probably.
I've never tried converting ntsc dv videos to pal, but I'm sure I can figure something out in adobe premiere.
