I'm thinking of selling my DJM 600 w/flight case because got them at a reasonable price. I know I can sell it for just as much, if not more, so I was wondering what mixers around the 700-800 dollar range were notable. I've looked into the Allen & Heaths, and the Ecler Nuos got great reviews.
How does the A&H 62 compare to the 32? Or the 92?

I heard good things about numark fx5000 and its aroudn 500 range I think.

Anyone knows if sound quality compares? I heard the fx unit "can be sold on its own, its that good". How true is this statement?

The fx unit in it looks great though, you can sample a sound of playing audio source and scratch it (It has jog wheel on the mixer fx unit)

A TA named Ygrene has the Numark FX5000 I believe if you want to pm him for info.

Just stay with the DJM600. IMO, the Xone 62 has good sound quality but that's it. If you can, save up for the Xone 92. Now, that's worth. If you get rid of the 600, you're going to loose all the effects since the Xone's only have filters.

Yep, I made the comment that the FX/sampler section of the Numark unit and YES its really that good. The Beatkeeper technology really does a good job of getting everything aligned with samples and FX. Also my buddy just purchased it from "abes of Maine" a new Jersey electronics store and not only did he get it in a day (free shipping from Nj to CT), the price was unbelievable at $419.00 Now I call that a damn good motherfreakin bargain.

The NUO5 is a good upgrade

Well, the effects on the 600 aren't really a concern of mine. I'm looking for a solid build and sound quality. Don't get me wrong, I have a luxury of eithre keeping a great mixer in the 600 or selling it and "upgrading" to something else. I thought about the Xone:92, and am willing to save up for it, but I'm not sure if I need that much punch...how is the 62 compared to the 92?
As far as the NuMark FX5000, I've never heard of that mixer, much less an effects processor that's good enough to be "sold on it's own"...how good can it be?
What about the Ecler Nuo line?

I dont know man, but the idea of sampling live sound and scratching live sound is sick!

I will be checking out guitar centers for display models so I can try the fx5000 out

The 62 is a bit old and the layout is rather weird, IMO. The 92 has a much better layout, but of course it costs a lot more money. Certainly a fantastic sounding mixer.

Other choices for sound/build:
Nuo 5
DJM-800 (played with one at Guitar Center, feels much better built than the 600, but not quite as solid as the Xone's).

I wouldnt call the Numark 5000fx an "upgrade" from a DJM-600 at all. Firstly, it *is* a Numark...which says plenty right there. I've played with one before, and it felt (and sounded) like a cheap toy. Its a great mixer if you cant afford a DJM or something better, dont get me wrong, but it would be a downgrade from a Pioneer.

The XONE mixers or NUO mixers would be a nice upgrade in sound quality, build quality, FX/filters and faders.

"Felt (and sounded) like a cheap toy". Son you must have been using some other mixer. The 5000fx is very well built and sounds fantastic. And I wouldn't call the Numark a "downgrade" from a DJM at all. Sounds to me like you have never even touched the 5000fx neverless heard it.
