There's this guy at work bragging about how he got this girl and how i tried and I couldnt and so off and it went like this:
Guy - bah, you didnt even get a kiss
Me - but, but, I have a gf!
Guy - you pussy
ME - Your mom's got cancer ( she really does)
guy turn his head down and stop talking. I think he cried himself to sleep

That is prettyyyyyy bad
After I got back home from the hospital after my kidney transplant I was really tired lazy and in a bit of a pain the first days home.
My mom was getting on my case for bumming out at home and I told her, well let's have this conversation again the day YOU have a kidney transplant!
My sister was in the same room and she laughed, mildly.

Going through dialysis or having a transplant is not fixing the body in any way.
While chemo for cancer is "fixing", or more like eradicating cancerous cells, resulting in the patient not needing anymore care once the chemo is done.
I sometimes wish I had gotten cancer instead of kidney failure.
