Grey Album (NOT EDM)

i just picked up a copy of The Grey Album.
Its Jay Z's Black Album and The Beatle's White Album Mashed up.
im not the biggest hip hop fan, but this is a amazing album.
its put together by DJ Danger Mouse.
has anyone else here heard this album?

first of all, old, but ye, good concept of album and also good album in general but really, i think the novelty factor of this album was worn out pretty fast, which also in the terms of the mashupscene is crucial, especially for this kind of thing. never the less, ye, it's good, and i still listen to some choice tracks from it now & then but really that's it.

exactly. when this first came out, everyone was wowed (the ny times even profiled danger mouse based on it), but the whole mashup phase burned out quickly and hasn't aged particularly well...

It was an okay album, Dangermouse has produced better stuff though. Gorillaz, The LP with Jemini, Gnarls Barkley and the DangerDoom release were all better in my view.

Nice concept, but poor execution.

The White Albulum by DJ Kno of the Cunninlynguists is a MUCH better remix album.

Heh yeah, I have had a bit of a break.

As for the other Black Album mashups, none of them are by Dangermouse as far as I know, there are a lot of them out there too. Most of them suck however.
