Proffesional mastering

Anybody know of any studios that will master tracks for a reasonable rate?
And also what are the end results are they impressive?

Its just that iv produced a track that Suzy Solar and Thomas Bronzwaer say is awesome but thay also say it needs mastering as some levels are clipping.
And thay reccomend pro mastering, as any you been in this situation?

Thanks

Ash

Ps heres the track if you interested:

set your output level to below 0.00db and send it to an online mastering company. these seem to be cheaper.

personally i think that if a track sounds like it needs mastering then there is another problem besides the mastering issue. possibly a bad mixdown, bad eq or as they said - too high output level.

wow. great track. i'm impressed....that main line goes on alittle long for my taste, but overall solid jam, wanna tell us a little about the making of this track...?

did you use and arpeggiator for that main line....i'd like to know about the bassline, how you wrote that....maybe even see a little matrix view of the line from the program....you know....if you can... =)

otherwise great job man, a little cleaning up for the mastering house and you've got something to be proud of. =)

Fix your mixdown, so it doesn't clip first, export a premaster as a 24 bit, 44.1 kHz file at -3 dB and send to any of the dozens of mastering services...
One of the good ones is online-mastering.com where you can choose your own mastering engineer. But be warned, it's not cheap. There are some other cheaper mastering houses that do a good job like XARC or Massive mastering.

have you put a compressor on your master channel? when the mix picks up it sounds completely destroyed, i can hear it banging up over the limit, and the mix is really crushed, the kick neads to be bit louder i think to get over the bass and the bass does have probably a tad too much mid

take everything your using off the master, leave the master free, then do what you want in an editor with the .wav or send it off

mastering is a after touch, your final mix down is your final piece, dont expect a after touch to make magic of a dirty final piece it wont happend, it will only make it more dirty or show how dirty it really is.

First thing I noticed is your waveform. Notice how there's a squiggly line running through it, caused by excessive sub bass levels.

They modulate the higher frequencies, meaning more damage is done when you limit the peaks, as they greatly reduce the amount of volume you can otherwise get out of your track.

An average spectrum also gives you a good indication that the levels below 20 Hz are too loud - filter them out by placing highpass filters in the mix where needed. The result will be infinitely times better than filtering them out in the master.

Put an end to the loudness war. Don't limit or compress your mixdown until mastering; leave the master channel alone.

Atlantis-AR,

Are those Waveforms and the Spectrum for the entire track? or just a section of the track?
