Dunno Denon vs. Pioneer... help me decide

Right,
I think it's about time I upgraded my mixer. The DXM-06 is fine and I still like it but pretty soon I'm going to be needing more than 2 channels, so...

I've pretty much narrowed my options down to two:
Denon DN-X1500S
Pioneer DJM 600S

Now, these are pretty much the same price (the Denon is slightly cheaper but not much, really) and the functions are pretty much the same as well (Denon has digital out and USB support but that's about it) and I can't really make up my mind. Which one would you choose and why? Or is there something in the same price range (€800-1000) I should choose over the two?

I'm looking for useful comments, so no "you have to get Pioneer because it's Pioneer, idiot!" stuff, please

Test them, that's all I can say.

I would if I could, but it's quite impossible around here...

i think the denon is fun because of the sampler, and you might also enjoy the effects, it had more functions than the pio and has an lcd screen, but the faders are shorter i believe

just sum up what functions the mixers have and judge by that

Hmm, well, I don't really use effects or samplers much, though they are fun to have around.

I already said the mixers have quite a lot of same functions. What I'd really like to know how easily they break, how loose the faders are, issues with sound quality etc.

sound is again a personal thing

maybe you should also check the nuo series from ecler, I really like them because of the buttons, the are big and easy to handle.

i think the pioneer is most roadproof because it is used alot by rental companies

I'd get something else but between them I'd get the Denon. It has better build and sound quality as far as I can tell. I've used the other Denons that are similar without the FX and they're solid. And I've used the 600, I think every DJ and DJ wannabe in the world has. I might get something like the x500 and an A&H VF1. Is that what the filter units are called?

Hmm, so the x500 is basically the same mixer without the FX then? That would be a pretty good idea, actually...

Edit:
Or maybe Ecler Nuo 4? Damnit, too many options...

Depends, the xone:62 has 4 band EQ per channel, 2 filters and the sound quality is superb, hell with €1000 you might find a used :92. None of them have any efx, which could be a good sign for some.

No, that's out of the question. €1000 is the absolute highest I can go and even then I'd rather not go that high...

The Nuo 4 has a lot of midi controller functionality you probably don't need, but it is still a great four channel mixer.

Well, actually, the midi controller would come in handy in the next year or two.
