Who cares about the NBA?

I mean, is there any point in watching NBA basketball?

Here are a few reasons why I don't like the NBA.

Isn't travelling a foul?

It is unbelievably streaky, 15 game winning streaks and 15 game losing streaks are common.

99/100 times, the team with the better statistics coming into the game wins, thereby eliminating much of the suspense. The Lakers are EVEN odds to win the championship for Christ's sake!

A high proportion of players are poor role models. (Not as bad as the NFL though)

Shaq. Does he have any talent other than fouling people out of his way?

I find it to be boring.

NB. I never said I didn't like basketball. I love playing basketball, but the NBA is, in my opinion, a joke.

Any thoughts?

No. Travelling is not a foul, Travelling is a violation. Which means it does not add to personal fouls, just a change of possession to the other team. A foul is normally physical contact.

On the other hand I agree with you about 'Who cares about watching the NBA,' I think we have to move on the times to look at other sports, seeing slam dunks, jams, behind the back passes, half way shots, three point plays doesnt excite me anymore like it use to. The NBA after the Bull's dynasty ended, got much boring and shitter.

Pass my thanks to Scottie Pippen, David Robinson,Hakeen Olaujuwon. Karl Malone, John Stockton

Basketball is a very entertaining sport to watch.... just NOT the NBA. College Basketball is incredibly entertaining. You never know who is going to win. You can always assume, but there are always multiple upsets in any given week. For example, Duke losing to Virginia last week... The #3 ranked team in the nation losing to an unranked. Or how about Wisconsin, a team with 6 walk-ons, a new coach etc, at the beginning of the season... They went on to tie for the Conference championship with the likes of Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio State. Most college basketball games go down to the wire, and once you get into the NCAA tournament, where your season can end on any given night.... you never know what is going to happen. The 16 seed knocking off the top seed in the first round, etc.

Rivalries also make college basketball much more entertaining to watch. Duke v Maryland... some great games in the past few years. It's always a toss-up as to who will win.

In my opinion, sports end after college. Pro sports are just not as entertaining.

Basketball has gotten a little bit out of control but it's still comparable to football and hockey (well maybe not as good as hockey). There's lot of contact, it's fast-paced, and strategic.

College basketball is good too especially when it's March madness. The thing I don't like about basketball is how subjective it is (it seems like the outcome of the game is dependent on the refs). Besides that, basketball is definitely good to watch/play.

or new age Rodman Kenyon Martin

I like College al ot more too, but I think its not right to call the NBA more "set" than the NCAA. I mean a team like Monmouth can never ever beat a team like duke, but the Bulls swept the Lakers. There are way too much teams in division I basketball. but as I said i like the college ball a lot more because theres much more enthusiasm behind the plays than in the NBA. And not like in the NBA where the damn lakers celeb dans just show up for the second quarter, their fans really care about their team and make a much better atmosphere.

Btw: Wh's your favorite team? mine this year is somewhat Alabama, but I change that every year. Im not bend to a special college as I live in Switzerland. Last year I cheered for Gilbert Arenas and the Cats.

But I will nevber cheer for the Lakers of the NCAA, the Blue Devils even Jason Wiliams is a helluva player.

It's march madness time. I'm excited.

I love College anything.

It's interesting to see how much passion players will have when they aren't being paid millions of dollars to play a sport.

College sports are much more pure in my opinion.

I like Duke to win again, but these losses lately have shaken my confidence a little. The top teams are so closely matched.

Of course I can't really make any predictions, the seeds haven't even been picked yet.

oh please no Duke!

I thin Maryland has a very good chance, Im a bit sceptic about Kansas, because of their history, but who knows? But I think this time a not#1-seed will win the thing, but I have no idea who? Perhaps Illinois, if Frank Williams can put some impressive games together.

The NBA is grim, all it is dribble, pass and go from there. They hardly have any forms of offence and the defence is pathetic either. I used to love college ball when u had G'Town playing UConn(AI vs Ray Allen) Kanasas vs Kentucky (Lafrentz & Pierce vs Walker) and Carolina vs Duke when Caronlia had Carter, Jamison, Shamond Williams and Okalage(sp) but yeah i'm rambling, anywho i just don't see the same skills in the players today.
