I don't know if it's quite possible. With the virus TI there are RAM banks with the A bank having an init patch on place 127 I think. With the VC 16 init patches pop up. I don't know bout the C but you could try looking at the very last slots of your user banks and see if there isn't an init patch there.

I think there is an INIT patch in one of the ROM banks, but I don't recall which one. I think it was one of the last patches in the bank though. If it is not there you may want to go to access' site and grab the factory soundset, because I am pretty sure there is one in there(It is possible that your previous owner updated the ROM banks and it is not there any longer).

C127 is a blank patch.

You cannot clear bank C because only bank A & B can be saved to. Therefore you can always get a blank patch by going to C127, even if you totally erase all the patches on your Virus or overwrite them all with factory defaults. You cannot save to Bank C. You cannot overwrite anything in bank C.

The Virus C comes with all its patches full. The last patch of every bank is the Init patch. Start with this or any other patch and make your tweaks. When you want to save it, you have to overwrite the same or another patch (RAM A to D) using the store function. Store lets you select the location and enter the patch name.

Oops, I forgot to say Wood0292 was right and that if you don't have an Init as the last patch on every bank you can do what he said first

I don't think you have to do that mate, normally there are init patches at the end of some banks. Let's wait till michael00elder replies

True. There is defintatly one in the original factory presets.

I'm just such a geek, that I have a whole bunch of individual categorised sounds, so it's a two second job for me to send one. Just putting the offer out there if he needs it, but as you say, probably not. It's all good.

Its C127

C126 is also an init patch and is labelled as such (but is configured so that both LFOs are enabled and synced and both oscillators are mixed 50/50 by default) and C125 is an init patch configured to accept an external signal via the Virus inputs.

I checked on mine (should have done this before I posted before - doh). The Init factory preset is RAM-A 127 and ROM-A 127. RAM-A/ROM-A 126 have the Start preset mentioned by Derivative.

Derivative - for some reason my Virus is different - I don't have any Init or start patches on Bank C.

What Virus do you have? I have a Virus B. Latest OS 4.9. It installed all the blank patches at the end of the C bank.

Actually I never thought that Access might move patches around for the Virus C and Ti...so where does everyone else have their init patches? What OS and model are you using?

Either way its definitely called -init- and theres 2 of them. One of them is configured to accept external signals though so avoid that one unless you are using the vocoder or something.
