Upgrading soundcard...worse.

Ok, so I have been using an SB live card all this time, and I finally got an audiophile 2496.

I had huge latency with the sb card, due to the fact that it doesnt use ASIO.

Now I got this audiophile card, and latency is better, but now I have other problems that werent there before.

I rewire FL5 to Cubase. Now, whenever I switch between the program screens, or when I move the playlist position, or start and stop the audio, the audio does this stuttering similar to the "buffer override" effect plugin.

I've tried playing with the settings in both programs, and the asio settings, but I just can't seem to fix it.

My specs:
2.5ghz p4
512 Ram
Audiophile 2496

EDIT: I should note that fl screws up with this stuttering thing when I run it by itself, so it isnt a rewire problem.

the audiophile is supposedly one of the most stable, easy to configure and hassel free of them all

Could just be down to choosing too little latency - maybe your comp couldn't handle it?

I wouldn't use the ASIO4All drivers if you haven't tested the M-Audio drivers fully yet (I myself have no problems at all with those drivers).

Yeah, I don't think using a universal ASIO driver is such a good idea if there already is a stable driver for your card.
